Toscana Studio and Gallery

Linda Ahearn of Toscana Studio and Gallery wanted a new website to showcase the art and the classes taught in her studio.  We spent time getting to know Linda and her goals for Toscana and how a new website could help grow her business and organize her workflow.
  • Created a home page with some of the great art at Toscana in a flash photo rotator.

  • For branding Toscana:
    • The new design showcases the Toscana Logo with the address, hours and phone number on very page.
    • A new design that uses the colors in the Toscana Logo.
    • Provided a url icon for the www.toscanastudioandgallery.com url.

  • Used larger font, bright colors and a clean, fresh fun look to appeal both the artists, parents, students and visitors.

  • Provided both a top and bottom navigation bar for easy of finding the web pages.
  • Developed a fill-in pdf registration form for the Children's Summer Art Camp.  Linda was filling out the forms by hand.

  • Added an on-line payment option for the Children's Summer Art Camp.  Clients were phoning in their credit cards information or driving over to Toscana to pay.

  • Added bio's, art and links to websites for the artists that show at Toscana.

  • Created a news and press page with information on the latest articles, bios and newsletters.

  • Created an on-line contact us form to protect Linda's email from spam.

  • Created sitemap and robot files to enhance search engine access.

  • Within two weeks Toscana was on page one of goggle for the key words of "art galleries in Tucson", "adult art classes in Tucson", "children art classes in Tucson" and "art studios in Tucson."  The old site wasn't listed in Tucson only in Oro Valley.
Here is the before photo of the original Toscana website on the left and the new website on the right:

Spanish Barb Horse Association

We were approached by the Spanish Barb Breeders Association for a redesign of their website.  The Spanish Barb Breeders Association was looking for a website to provide several functions:

  • Establish the organization as an national horse association to promote and preserve the Colonial Spanish Horse.

  • Establish a new logo and branding.

  • Provide a website that the members would come to for resources, interesting articles and photos.

  • Archive for historical documents and photos.

  • Update the sale page with more photos and better organization.

  • Provide a simple navigation that would make the website information easy to access

  • Add photo rotators for interesting viewing.

After a 2 months of discussions on web design and content we agreed on the both a new name and a new design.  The organization changed their name to the Spanish Barb Horse Association to eliminate any exclusivity towards breeders and give the organization a more national appeal.  The new website went live in early September 2010.  At the Spanish Barb Breeders Annual meeting at Burro Mountain in September, the website was introduced to the members with great reviews.  The new site has a new introduction page, ten new content pages, and six new flash photo rotators.

The first image is of the old Spanish Barb Breeders Association website and the second image is of the introduction page we designed to announce the name change and new website.  The last image is of the home page for the new Spanish Barb Horse Association website.

County Line Riders of Catalina

County Line Riders of Catalina long time client needed an update to their website that included flash photo rotators, a fresh look and some new colors.  We added a large photo rotator to the home page and a smaller photo rotator to the photo gallery page.  The background color was changed to a darker teal and the font was changed and enlarged for easier viewing.

The first image is of the old website and the second is of the new website.

Royaile Kennel

One of our first customers is Royaile Kennel.  Maureen built their first website in 1997 and has done three redesigns.  The most recent redesign was the spring of 2011.

The goal with the new design was first to update the site and to show case the grounds that the dogs enjoy during their stay.  Maureen took pictures of the grounds, the staff and animals and created a flash photo rotator for the new website.

The first thing a new customer sees when driving up to Royaile is their large rock address sign.  We took photos of the rock address sign and made that an icon and trade mark for the new website. We also attached a copy of the icon for the web's url which provides a branding for the website  on the navigation tabs in Microsoft Explorer and in the url field.
